September 30, 2007: Anika, Rachel & Mike

Rachel, Mike and Anika put up with me looking like I do after a late night of wedding shooting (which is generally not my best look) for a family portrait shoot at the Capitol and downtown Austin last Sunday.

Rachel is the fabulous and creative woman who designed my new logo that you're now seeing happily splashed all over my website and blog. It was great to meet her husband Mike and spend some more time with her delightful baby girl Anika. They are incredibly photogenic and tons 'o fun.

September 29, 2007: Allison & Clark

Back to work with the always fabulous Tyler Schmitt this weekend! Allison and Clark were married this past Saturday at the Shoreline Grill. The weather didn't cooperate for an outdoor ceremony, but despite the rain they are married and it was beautiful! They are a very sweet and funny couple with wonderful friends and family. I had a great time! Thanks for having me!

Lindy and Lindsey from 36th Street Weddings coordinated the wedding and did an amazing job keeping everything under control and running smoothly, even with all of the last minute changes. They also kept me in stitches with some of the funniest dinner conversation I've had in quite some time. They are delightful all around.

September 27, 2007: Julian

Baby Julian is here!

You may remember his mom Sandra from this post. I was thrilled to meet Julian today as we did a quick newborn shoot. He's so precious! Thanks so much for allowing me to photograph your darling little fellow. On to the pictures!

YES! I know it has nothing to do with wedding and portrait photography, but y'all need to get to the market and get yourself one of these Honeycrisp apples...I got addicted to them while living in Seattle. So good. They will perk your day right up.

Holiday Portraits and a promotion coming soon!

Geez, Shannon, the holidays are MONTHS away - why should we be thinking about holiday portraits now? It's still hot outside!

Well, I think you know how quickly time flies and I only have so many weekends between now and December 1, which (Hint Hint) is going to be the cutoff for Christmas ready portrait sessions.......

Labs and my album manufacturers are SWAMPED this time of year, so the sooner you get things in order, the better!

Wedding Images!

It's been a while, huh? Moving across the country gave me a little (involuntary) sabbatical from shooting weddings, so it's good to be back!

Austin wedding season is upon us and aside from spending time with my family, I can't imagine a better way to spend a Saturday, so let's get going shall we?

I had the wonderful experience of second shooting Vicki & Chris's wedding with the delightful Tyler Schmitt this past weekend. The wedding was at Star Hill Ranch and coordinated by Something to Celebrate. (Have I mentioned recently how helpful it is to hire a coordinator for your wedding? You'll be happy you did - trust me on this one.)

Vicki and Chris were glorious to work with and were so sweet to welcome me into their big day. Thanks again and have a wonderful honeymoon!

September 1, 2007: Clare's Baptism

Remember teeny, tiny Clare Rose from a month or so ago? Well here she is now!



What a little cherub she has grown into! She is a seriously, seriously cute baby.

I was honored to be asked to document her Baptism last weekend. It was a beautiful occassion filled with family and friends in downtown Austin. On to the pictures, shall we?

We shot Anne's bridal portraits this weekend at Laguna Gloria. As she doesn't want anyone to see her in her dress before the wedding, here's a tease!
