March 29, 2008: Tricia and Jeff's Wedding

Adorable couple, stunning venue - pretty good combination for a wedding. I just can't get enough of working with the T-Shizzle, so we were back in action as a team again this weekend.

Tricia and Jeff's wedding was at The Four Seasons Austin and beautifully coordinated by Bethany, Lindy, Lauren and Celine from 36th Street Weddings. Flowers were by Fiori del Sole and I plotted on how I could wander off with some of them. So gorgeous y'all!

Congratulations Tricia and Jeff! Enjoy your new life together!

First Look - a really good one.

In general, this is an outtake, but I love how the magic of a wedding infects everyone. Tricia and Jeff had many admirers during their portrait session.

This kind of light makes me dizzy with happiness.

Hora!

To top off the night, they had a s'mores bar. I don't need to tell you how awesome that is right? Because if I do, I don't think we can be friends.

NEW Website!

Hey! Lookie!

My Website is back!

There are lots of new engagement and family images to peek at. The wedding gallery will be updated in the next few months as I comb through this season's weddings. But there's still plenty to enjoy right now.

Pricing is the same and will remain so through June 1, 2008. I'll be sure to warn you again when pricing is about to change.

Leave the new website a comment and let it know what you think! It's tough being the new kid on the big World Wide Web.

In case you were wondering.....

Yes, I know my web site is down. I am a good photographer, but not the best IT manager. It should be back up soon! And it'll be all pretty and shiny and new!!!!!!

Have a great weekend! I'll be back blogging on Monday with more wedding images. Just for fun - here is my husband throwing the little one around before bedtime. They call it Rocket Pillow.

Happy Easter!

I hope you are all having a wonderful day with friends and family (and maybe some jelly beans and chocolate bunnies - not that I would know anything about eating candy).

March 16, 2008: Lauren & John's Engagement Session

More engagement session fun this weekend with Lauren & John! They are getting married in California this fall, but as they are now Austin-ites, they wanted some Austin flavor for their Engagement Portraits.

People are always asking me what to wear for portrait sessions and I LOVED what these two wore. They were wonderfully coordinated and incredibly stylish without being matchy-matchy.

They also could not have been nicer or more fun. Thanks so much you guys and enjoy!

March 15, 2008: Ashley & Owen

Oh wow, was Saturday a great day for wedding or what? I was back working with The Schmitt and as usual, it did not disappoint.

Ashley and Owen's Kali-Kate Wedding was definitely one of the parties of the year so far. I had so much fun watching their friends and family happily celebrate their wedding.

The event was coordinated by the delightful Wendee (and Angela and Lindsey) of Lucie's Events and they were fab.

I am hopeful that you are in a comfortable chair as things got a little out of hand as I was choosing pictures for the blog. Let's get started.

Some of the details

Here's one of the zillion reasons to have your wedding at Kali Kate.

First Dance

OK, so here is where things start to get awesome. (in the raising your arm in the rock out sense of the word). The dancing at this wedding was superb. I could do an entire separate post on it, but I will just give you a little series that is my favorite.

There is something about Journey's 'Don't Stop Believing' that turns mere men into rock legends. It starts with air guitar....

Then you need to add some drumming.

Then a crowd starts gathering as you really begin to rock it.

And then there's this. Just sort of soak this all in for a minute.

Cheering on the other dancers. For a look at the groom doing a back flip, head over to Tyler's blog. You won't regret it.

The End.

Have an amazing honeymoon in Whistler you two and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day. I will not soon forget it.

'Don't Stop Believing' kids.
